INDICATION:
A herbal medicine for supportive therapy of colds
and chronic infections of the respiratory tract and urinary tract. Also as a
preventative for infection by modulation the non-specific immune system.

MODE OF ACTION
Research has demonstrated that Echinacea
preparations given orally or parententally have produced immune effects. Among
these effects are:
- an increase in the number of white blood cells
and spleen cells
- activation of phgocytosis by human
granulocytes
- an elevation of body temperature
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Progressive systemic diseases such as
turberculosis, leucosis, AIDS, and HIV infection
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Adults: Take 20 drops in a little water, 3 - 5
times daily half an hour before eating.
Children: 2 - 6 years: 5 drops 3 times daily; 6 -
12 years: 10 drops 3 times daily.
Acute cases:
Adults: Take 10 drops hourly , gradually reducing
frequency as improvement occurs.
Children: 2 - 6 years: 2 drops hourly; 6 -12
years: 5 drops hourly, gradually reducing frequency as improvement occurs.
Prophylactic dose:
Adults: Take 10 drops 3 times daily.
Children: 2 - 6 years: 3 drops 3 times daily; 6 -
12 years: 5 drops 3 times daily.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Echinacea should not be taken if the patient has
shown any allergy to it or the plant family Asteracea. In case of over
sensitivity reactions, discontinue use and consult your practitioner.
