The Bach Flower Essences can be taken by placing two drops in a glass of water
and sip at intervals. If no water is available the Essences can be taken
undiluted either in the mouth, on the skin behind the ears or on the inside of
the wrist. Alternatively the two drops can be put into a clean empty 30ml
dropper bottle which is then topped up with mineral water. From this bottle -
known as a treatment bottle - four drops are taken four times a day. Kept in the
fridge and used regularly a treatment bottle will last up to three weeks.
These formulas may be taken as often as needed, but at least 4 drops, 4 times
per day, under the tongue: upon waking, late morning, late afternoon and before
sleep.
All genuine Bach Remedies come in concentrate form and will last indefinitely
when stored at normal room temperature, away from direct sunlight.
RESCUE REMEDY:
Dr. Bach created an emergency combination of Essences
which he called Rescue Remedy. It is a combination of 5 Flower Essences (Star of
Bethlehem, Clematis, Impatiens, Cherry Plum and Rock Rose) to be used in
emergency situations, such as experiencing an accident, trauma, in a stressful
situation, before an exam or public speech, locally on bruises, sprains, on the
skin of baggy tired eyes. Many people keep a bottle in their purse, diaper bag,
nursery and in the car. On occasions when
your mind is over-active, take a dose or two of Rescue Remedy in the evening
before going to sleep.
Many health-care professionals, veterinarians and lay persons have reported
Rescue Remedy to have a stabilizing and calming effect in a great variety of
stress-inducing situations. They say it has brought comfort and calm to those
who have experienced troubling news, severe upset and traumatic experiences
which often lead to a numbed and dazed state of mind. It is also helpful in less
severe instances such as arguments, examinations, stage-fright, visits to the
dentist.
Place 4 drops of Rescue Remedy in 1/4 glass of water or other liquids and sip
frequently until distress eases.
