The Luna is based on a natural human phenomenon called the hormone/saliva phenomenon. At ovulation, your most fertile time, your body experiences elevated estrogen allowing an egg to be released. At the same time, the elevated estrogen creates saline or salt in your saliva and cervical mucus. It is these salt crystals that you see drying on the Luna.

Luna takes up slightly more space than a lipstick and can be used any private place with access to clear light. Simply lick the clean slide, allow it to dry (about 10 minutes) then hold it up to the light. The crystal patterns will reveal whether or not you are fertile at this time. Every woman is unique as well as every cycle so time must be taken to understand your individual fertility patterns.
